SNUS’ statement on the 25th annivessary of The Black Wednesday

had it not been for their commitment, discipline and utmost desire to eliminate travest in justice across sectors of our society; particularly the education sector. The 14th of November would yet be another amongst others, ordinary. They, in their hearts braved the chills and hostility and much brutal obtaining status quo in our beloved Swaziland and stood firm in championing the welfare of our persons, our livelihood as well our freedom of will.
Should it have not been for the blood they shed yesterday, the PERSONAL ALLOWANCES we are mourning over today nwould be a rumor.

PURPOSEFUL ACTION AND UNITY was and is a lasting compass that shall like the blood of the lamb, never lose its power.
Through the 1990 generation, we have learnt as a popular belief that nothing beats UNITY, not when the time is nigh, the tide heap, the raven hoarse, the ground fertile.

In rekindling the spark, the fire is kept burning. Mandela Nelson, the late son of the soil ‘May His Soul Rest in eternal Peace,’ conferred formidability of a combination to a GOOD HEAD and HEART. The Swaziland National Union of Students (SNUS) had in its birth documents identified its locus standing upon moblising and uniting students of higher institutions across the country on a common purpose; “SETTING OUR INSTITUTIONS FREE FROM THE DICTATES OF BIAS,”TO GIVE BIRTH TO AUTONOMOUS INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING.

What have we don e to ensure Swaziland relives the spirit of oneness as a studentry? The LIBERATION OF OUR INSTITUTIONS CANNOT BE POSTPONED: the 1990 generation began then fight and set fortha legacy that’s now fading in our own hands. Resuscitation is neither phantom nor overrated, we are the YOUTH and the REVOLUTION is in our hands. Generations to come shall find the legacy we bore and the spirit of ‘UBUNTU’ shall live on.

14 November 1990 gave birth to the ‘Semesterization’ struggle amongst others in 2007/8. It was leaders before that set the tone and stage “surely history rewrote on your accounts leaders,,,AMANDLA!”

Over and above all, fresh from the delivery room is the victory UNISWA championed 18 Noevember 2013. The hostility on the ground has muliplied massively and it is 100% man made. We are still fresh from the brutal resistance we met from state forces beating innocent, 100% citizen students for expressing genuine concerns over the ever DIMINISHING RELEVANCY AND QUALITY OF OUR EDUCATION IN COUNTRY.
“Dear comrades, all your efforts were not in vain: COMRADES ARE CRUSHED BUT NEVER DESTROYED, WE ROSE AGAIN AND PRESSED ON THE UPWARD WAY. ALUTA!!!

A grand stage for total emancipation of our people begins now. Sooner than later, we shall achieve an EGALITARIAN DISPENSATION.
SNUS calls for every comrade, brother and sister to dispair not, TOGETHER WE SHALL CURE THE ILLS IN OUR INSTITUTIONS, EACH AT A TIME.
WAIT NO MORE, TIME IS NIGH. Ammmmmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaandla!!!
